About 9 g (1 tablespoon) of bearberryleaves should be placed in an enamelware container, then 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured over it. The container is covered with a lid and heated on a boiling water bath, with occasional stirring, for 30 minutes. After that, the mixture is strained, and the remaining raw material is pressed without cooling. The volume of the obtained decoction is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water. It is taken orally, warm, 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day, 40 minutes after a meal. The treatment course lasts for 20-25 days. It is possible to repeat the course after a 10-12-day break, but no more than 4 courses per year. It is recommended to shake the decoction before consumption.

When taking large doses of bearberry preparations or with their long-term use, an exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of the kidneys may occur as a result of prolonged irritation of the renal tubules. Allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, urine staining in dark green color are possible.
